fall rtw 2k9.

so, i realize that this is a little behind and all the fabulous fall rtw shows have already happened. i enjoy taking a few days out of my life and going to style.com to look at every single look, for every single designer (of course, considering that i don't hypervenilate with excitement or my eyes don't fall out of my head from looking at the screen for so long). All in all, after completing the daunting, but strangely fulfilling task, i would normally sit and think about all the beautiful shoes and interesting dresses, etc. But now that I have a blog i'm going to place my favorite looks here.If you think about it, it makes sense. what if i win the lottery just in time for fall? i'd only be able to shop up my favorite looks by using this lovely post as a guide. so, onward and upward. there were a few collections that I just loved the entire thing and could not create room for....but that does mean that there are still over thirty looks i couldn't resist! Enjoy, if anyone is out there reading this.
Alexander McQueen (i have a love hate relationship with this man. his clothing is so outlandish and crazy, but then he always comes along with one or two pieces in the collection that i love more than anything I've seen from any other designer. That piece in this situation is this dress. i'm absolutely in love with it, and absolutely certain about that.)
Anna Sui (awesome colors, go to the whole collection and look at all the boots, brilliant!)
Betsey Johnson (Dorothy eat your heart out!)
Blumarine (mary kate olsen will probably wear this as her New Year's Eve outfit.)

Burberry Prorsum

Chanel (ohmygod, can i please just touch that?)
Chloe
Chloe
Dior
Dior (jumpsuit, yes! bright yellow, yes!)
Dior
Dsquared2 (perfect colors, perfect look. i love D2 because they always do something completely ridiculous...hence the starbucks cups. please go check out this whole collection. loved it!)
Hermes (i love, love, love the old school pilot hat. but this collection had its ups and downs for me. there was a chunk of pieces toward the middle made of the worst looking brown leather ever! this dress is perfect though...whoa keep the metallics coming.)
Hermes
Lanvin
Lanvin
Louis Vuitton
Louis Vuitton
Missoni (this whole collection was amazing. i don't usually like furry purses, but somehow i loved everything about it anyways. She even included the metallics into the soft style. brilliant.)
Missoni
Missoni
Miu Miu
Valentino (love the color and the hem of the skirt. they should have put a red head in this outfit for the runway)
Victoria Beckham (loved this look but the rest of her collection just looked like she opened up he closet and a picked out a few styles to make.....in other words BORING. There was a beautiful purple on some her stuff.)
Vivienne Westwood (those shoes are sick, they look super human.)
Vivienne Westwood
Zac Posen

Zac Posen
Zac Posen (i love the hand warmer and the color of that coat!)

so, trends for this fall are some of my favorites. i would even venture to say that the two dominant looks in all the shows are possibly my two favorites! it's just all so exciting. metallics are coming back (thank god! nothing to spice up november like a gold dress!) and i'm almost positive i saw metallics in about 80% of the shows i watched. an eighties punk look was everywhere. bright colors, big shoulders, leather, big chains/studs. there was also a beautiful 70's, Moroccan laid back look in some of the shows with girly colors/prints, and lots of flowing fabric. anyways, enjoy all the pretty pictures. (oh, and jumpsuits! i just love jumpsuits!)

it seems like i've let myself get a little out of control....i'm ending my post on jumpsuits.
