spotlight: christian dior

My last spotlight for the spring 2010 rtw comes from the genius of john galliano. i usually like the clothing on the christian dior runways, but rarely do i LOVE it. this spring line is flawless in my opinion. you can always expect amazingly beautiful flowing dresses from this designer but i was really impressed with the jackets, skirts, and the accessories. i loved the mixture of soft colors with strong metallics...this show is future meets flapper. sexy but space-like. paranormal nancy drew. okay....maybe i'm taking it too far. if you like what you see you can check out the entire line here.

i love how light and comfortable everything looks. i love the cute sheer socks paired with super high heels. i love the colors. i love the belts. i love the necklines. i love it all. i'll take one of everything. thanks.

spotlight: chris benz

the second spotlight i have for you is on Chris Benz's 2010 spring rtw line. i love the colors here and the fabrics look truly luxurious.

Mr. Benz in relatively new on the fashion scene having graduated from Parsons in 2004. He hails from Seattle and interned with Marc Jacobs and J.Crew. Marry all those styles together i think i'd be perfectly content with everything he has to offer.

i was perfectly content with his showing this season and would love to actually buy some of these pieces...that is if i win the lottery tomorrow. please look at the whole line here because, really, these few pictures don't properly display his brilliant collection. also go to his website, it is very stylish plus he is super cute.

i can't admit to you what i'd do to get my hands on this outfit.

spotlight: cynthia steffe

so here's the first spotlight as promised. i've loved this label for some time but the past few shows have been just "ehhh". i'd like to think that period is over after seeing this show but we'll have to wait and see. all past aside, though, i really love the colors and silhouettes in this spring line and Shaun Kearney (the current designer of the line, cynthia steffe left in 2006) really seems to have properly channeled the look that defines this line. i love that he has managed to properly mingle flirty, relaxed, and girly and the colors and light fabric really allow for that. my favorite looks are here but if you'd like to check out the entire runway show go here.

pairing overall with heels = sexy!

great color plus ruffles. i'm in love.

great texture here. i love 3D clothing.
this is one of my favorite colors. reminds me of Tiffany's.
i love this color combo.

this looks so comfy and i love that it has an uneven hem.
