The worst luck hit me the other day. I was shopping online, going back to get a few things I had bookmarked and just couldn't pass up. The first purchase was to be made from Anthropologie. I went to the site and placed the two items in my shopping cart. Both items were grossly on sale and I was a bit surprised to see my size remained in both items. Surprised but HELLA excited none the less. Both items were were discounted from $258 to $59.95.

Once I loaded them into my shopping cart I absentmindedly clicked over to another tab to do god knows what....quick e-mail check, short youtube video....i can't remember. Needless to say. I went back to my cart minutes later and clicked to finalize my order and give myself a pat on the back for being such a great bargain shopper....and then the tragedy.

In the minutes that I navigated away from my shopping, the swimsuit sold out in my size. I was so upset, because it's not like e-bay where you are battling for a bargain, sitting waiting to click bid. I had this product in my cart and my credit card out. This would be like checking out at the store and someone coming over and stealing it from the cashier as it's placed in your bag.

I really don't think this should be allowed. I guess I should be a little bit more urgent about my great finds. Trust me, this will never happen to me again. I wish I knew who bought it up...I think they owe me an apology.

so just for a moment imagine spending a lovely Sunday afternoon in November lounging in the most adorable, cheerful living room enjoying the paper or a good book or just the brilliant set-up of a self-designed, everything-you've-ever-dreamed-of sanctuary. Doesn't that just sound amazing? I decided to create said space from a grouping of items for sale at Anthropologie and subsequently sit with my eyes closed and picture myself snuggled up in my lovely living creation.

I love the bright color as well as the tuxedo style. I'm also a sucker for nail heads and rolled arms. This couch would bring sunshine to any gloomy day.

This looks like the perfect book reading chair.

I picture this as a TV stand of sorts. The drawers are perfect to store DVDS and extra blankets. I hate clutter so this would help to disguise the fact that I have a lot of stuff.

I picture these as the side tables on either end of the couch. I like the distressed yet simple look and the fact that the bench (shown below) has the same wheels.

I've linked to this on my blog before, but every exquisite living room has great coffee table books. I'm not sure I will ever be able to pay this much for a single book. I'll probably have to go to the bookstore and sit on the floor for an hour just to read it. But for the sake of my lovely dream, I'd have to have this.

so i don't really watch a ton of TV. i'm a sucker for the paranormal shows, true life, intervention, etc. But i rarely watch something every week. I'm a flipper when it comes to TV. i'll watch part of the show and start flipping and forget what i was watching. I kinda have ADD when it comes to television shows....except for two things: The History Channel and The Biggest Loser. I recently upgraded my cable package from super basic to a much better bundle. I get way more channels now, but honestly i'm still figuring it out. When you don't have cable for a couple of years you miss out on a lot. While it may not be important, i was still so surprised at all the stuff i'd missed. (and how ridiculous some shows really are...like Kendra and the Kardashians. Those shows are train wrecks, i can't help but look.)

I'm rambling about TV for a very important reason. While doing my daily blog read I came across a new show that sounds absolutely mind blowing. SOUL PRETTY is a blog i love because she shares the most amazing design pictures and she keeps her posts short and sweet. She did a post on her favorite TV shows and included a new show called Man Shops Globe on the Sundance Channel. It's about Keith Johnson, buyer-at-large for Anthropologie, and his six-month long trip around the world searching for products and inspiration for the store to sell or re-create. This guy seriously has the best job in the world and putting it on TV is the best idea they've ever had.

Here's the problem. I don't have the Sundance Channel. That requires another, more expensive, upgrade. Hopefully it will go to DVD. Until then the cable company remains my arch nemesis.

so i'm pretty much in a committed relationship with the store anthropologie. it was love at first sight and i haven't looked back since. i must credit my stylish sister for the introduction. there is not actually a store in my city so i'm forced to be a slave to their website. i must admit that i spend countless hours looking at it. i don't feel it is a waste of my time and i'm almost one hundred percent sure that i'm not alone with this hobby. so, as of late, anthropologie has had a lot to offer and i'm going to post all of my favorites here...as well as a few of their visual displays...which are always mind blowing. if you hate cute clothes (you're stupid) you should at least pass by the store and glimpse at their windows.
